four long-eared desert hares who run across the barren plaines of the club kingdom...

three ladies-in-waiting follow the queen of spades closely as she gallops through the land....if the ground is muddy they lift her flowing robe....

the diamonds are ready to defend

King of Clubs

the king's steed is a six-footed-club-tailed-deer - who gallops tall, proud and swift through the desert plains of the club kingdom

Queen of Clubs

the queen of clubs surveys her kingdom.....
her long neck and winged stead help her keep watch for invaders...

Three of Hearts

this card is dedicated to Master Matt Saunders whose birthday it was on monday!

the three fanfares sound everytime the king of hearts enters the battlefield....

these two cats are the pets of the queen. She brings them small animal hearts to play with.

Motifs

like any ruling family each suit of cards has it's own symbols. I was starting to think about the design for the back of the cards and I thought that I could perhaps incorporate these symbols into a pattern? what do you think?
